Rae L. Livingston

Chief Equity Officer

As AbbVie’s Chief Equity Officer, Rae Livingston leads efforts to foster a diverse, equitable, bias-conscious and inclusive culture with impact. She is a member of AbbVie’s Executive Leadership Team.

Ms. Livingston joined AbbVie in 2016 as Vice President, Business Human Resources, Corporate Functions and U.S. Employee Relations. Before AbbVie, Ms. Livingston held multiple leadership roles, primarily in Business Human Resources. Her areas of specialty have included: global operations & engineering services, headquarter functions, mergers & acquisitions and workplace culture.

Ms. Livingston was named to Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association (HBA) Advisory Board (2021-2023) to help guide the HBA’s strategy on elevating women in healthcare. She is also a member of The Executive Leadership Council and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) executive network. Ms. Livingston was named by Savoy Magazine as one of the 2023 Most Influential Executives in Diversity & Inclusion. In 2021, she was recognized by Diversity Woman Media’s Elite 100 list, as one of one-hundred extraordinary Black women executives changing the face of corporate America. Previously, Ms. Livingston served as board chair for the YWCA of Southeast Wisconsin and as a member of the executive committee.

Ms. Livingston is a proud HBCU Alum of Florida Agricultural & Mechanical’s School of Business and Industry, where she earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration and is a lifetime member of FAMU’s Alumni Association.
