Our Externship for Cultivating Emerging Leaders (EXCEL) is a voluntary, two-day immersive experience at AbbVie’s headquarters in Lake County, IL for second-year college students to explore diverse business areas, network with our teams and leaders, engage in professional development events and have an opportunity to interview for an AbbVie internship for the following summer.

Our Co-Op program helps you gain robust work experience by contributing to critical projects across multiple business functions over a four- to six-month time period.

The Aesthetics Leadership Program prepares you to be a future marketing leader by providing opportunities to work on critical areas of the aesthetics business. The program is three years long and consists of three 12-month rotations.

Full-time MBA candidates specializing in marketing, consumer goods or general management

Location:
Irvine, CA

The Business Technology Solutions Early Talent Program consists of either two 12-month rotations over the course of two years, or one 24-month assignment. The program is intended to develop your technology and business problem solving skills, while gaining a deeper understanding of the biopharmaceutical industry and impact the lives of our patients through networking and exposure to senior leadership, mentorship, and other professional development opportunities.

Most assignments are based in Lake County, IL, but there is potential for assignments on the west coast and internationally depending on business needs.

Our Clinical Trial Operations Development Program consists of two one-year rotations designed to help you launch a dynamic career and gain meaningful experience in the execution and management of clinical trials. Your rotations will give you experience in clinical trials, project management and data analysis through projects at our headquarters.

Individuals with a bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with an emphasis on Science.

The Commercial Leadership Program consists of two 18-month rotations in both Marketing and Market Access and one 12-month rotation in Sales.

Full-time MBA candidates specializing in business administration, health care, marketing or general management

The Finance Development Program consists of four 6-month rotations over two years to prepare you for financial management roles. You will gain experience by working cross-functionally in a matrixed environment, building your business acumen and participating in key training and mentoring sessions.

Individuals with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance or accounting.

Program members must have successfully completed at least three accounting courses (each with 3 credit hours) by the time of graduation, with one of the courses being focused on cost or managerial accounting.
