Jason Smith

Jason Smith is Senior Vice President, AbbVie and President, Neuroscience. In this role, he is responsible for the Neuroscience commercial business in the United States and the global Neuroscience strategy, from pipeline to commercialization.  

Previously, Mr. Smith was Senior Vice President, Europe Commercial Operations. He led AbbVie’s Europe commercial therapeutics organization, fostering a positive work culture for employees and supporting access to medicines for European patients. 

With over 20 years of experience within the pharmaceutical sector, Mr. Smith has worked in roles of increasing seniority at AbbVie and prior companies, including 14 years at Novartis. This included being General Manager in three different countries and working across multiple geographies including Europe, Asia and other international markets. He also has experience in the aesthetics sector, having previously led Allergan Aesthetics’ international organization.

Mr. Smith holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Yale University.
