Millions of people around the world are living with Hepatitis C (HCV).  We are committed to supporting education and providing resources to address unmet needs of patients.

We provide educational support in the following areas:

  • Eliminating Hepatitis C via integrated approaches to disease identification and management; 
  • Increasing awareness of risk factors aimed at expanding screening and linkage to care;
  • Improving knowledge and capabilities of health care teams in the diagnosis and management of HCV/HIV co-infection;
  • Expanding access to care in underserved locations; and 
  • Supporting innovative activities designed at improving patient care and disease elimination.  

We will consider requests in the following areas:

  • HCV

Our goal is to provide education and support aimed at patients and  healthcare providers managing difficult-to-treat neurological diseases as well as urologic syndromes and dysfunction associated with these conditions.

We provide educational support in the following areas:

  • Addressing the shortage of healthcare providers dedicated to the field of movement disorders; Understanding the staging of Parkinson’s Disease and corresponding appropriate therapies; 
  • Educating patients and their care partners to be active and engaged participants in their care; and 
  • New discoveries of neuroscience and new therapies in development.

Women's Health

We are committed to helping the millions of women around the world who suffer from hormonal mediated diseases and chronic pelvic pain as well as understanding the public health concern that calls for preventive and evidence-based contraceptive care.

We provide educational support in the following areas:

  • Educating patients and/or their care partners in how to be an active participant in their care;
  • Supporting education to healthcare providers on early identification and diagnosis of pelvic pain, and appropriate referrals to a specialist;  
  • Understanding the risks/benefits and efficacy of traditional and new therapies; and  
  • Improving healthcare providers skills and confidence in intrauterine device (IUD) placement. 

We are currently accepting funding requests in the following areas:

  • Pelvic Pain
  • Uterine Fibroids


With the increase in technological advances and the growing field of aesthetic medicine, we are committed to educating the healthcare community and their patients by supporting scientific, evidence-based initiatives.

We provide educational support in the following areas:

  • Supporting education on non-surgical and non-invasive techniques to achieve the best patient outcomes; 
  • Enhancing clinician understanding of how to communicate, treat and manage patients; and 
  • Supporting educational initiatives with the goal of achieving optimal outcomes for patients in breast implant-based surgery and acellular dermal matrix-based surgery.

We will consider requests in the following areas:

  • Non-Invasive Body Contouring 
  • Non-Surgical Facial Aesthetics
  • Plastics and Regenerative Medicine

Eye Care

New treatment modalities are a continuing process in improving vision care. We will support educational initiatives on the latest evidence and evolving landscape for eye care treatments.   

We provide educational support in the following areas:

  • Increasing and expanding understanding of the importance of early treatment and continuum of care in the glaucoma paradigm;
  • Understanding how to manage presbyopic changes with a variety of current and newly emerging treatment options; and 
  • Educating healthcare providers on the current unmet needs and the burden of disease in diabetic macular edema. 

We will consider requests in the following areas:

  • Glaucoma
  • Refractive (presbyopia)
  • Retina (diabetic macular edema)

Other Specialty Areas

We are committed to improving the quality of life for patients with a focus on disease areas where significant unmet need still exists. For example, Cystic Fibrosis and Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency/Pancreatitis. We also support innovation from early stages of bench science up to late stage clinical development to advance cutting-edge science outside of our own walls.


AbbVie is committed to advancing healthcare professionals knowledge of such infections to quickly diagnosis and manage patients for optimal outcomes.  

We will provide educational support in the following areas:

  • The impact of early and appropriate antibiotic treatment strategies for high-risk patients across the continuum of care
  • Increase awareness of appropriate antibiotic coverage & treatment
  • Individualize and improve patient care for resistant bacterial infections

We will consider requests in the following areas:

  • Community-Acquired and Healthcare-Associated Infections (i.e., bacterial skin and skin structure infections, urinary tract infections, intra-abdominal infections) caused by:
    • Gram-negative pathogens (i.e., carbapenem resistant enterobacterales and multi-drug resistant Pseudomonas Aeruginosa)
    • Gram-positive pathogens (i.e., methicillin resistant Staphylococcus- Aureus (MRSA), methicillin-susceptible Streptococcus aureus (MSSA) and penicillin resistant Streptococcus pneumoniae (PRSP))
