VP and Head, AbbVie Ventures, Boston/Chicago

Prior to this role, Adam was Senior Director and Head, Immunology Search and Evaluation, focused on our externally sourced Immunology pipeline, from early-stage venture investments and strategic partnerships to late-stage clinical collaborations. With over 30 years of experience in the Pharma industry, his previous roles include external innovation positions at Biogen and Eli Lilly, and drug discovery positions at P&G Pharmaceuticals and Zeneca Pharmaceuticals (now AstraZeneca).


Managing Director, Chicago

Margarita contributes more than 20 years of deal-making experience, including 10 years in biotech and pharma. Margarita has led and managed investments in over a dozen biotech companies in the US and Europe.  

Managing Director, Boston area

John adds more than 20 years of industry experience ranging from business development and venture investing to operational experience across multiple startup biotech and global pharmaceutical companies.   

Senior Director, Boston area

Chuck brings nearly 25 years of venture investing, business development and R&D leadership experience from both biotech and pharma. A molecular biologist by training, Chuck began his career in drug discovery.

Ross contributes a decade of biotech and pharma experience ranging from business development and commercial strategy to early stage company creation, advising and investing.

KT, an innovator and scientist at heart, has over 20 years of leadership, entrepreneurial, and investing experience focused on expanding the value driven by scientific discovery.

Jay is experienced in management consulting and medicinal chemistry research. Prior to AbbVie Ventures, Jay advised clients across the healthcare industry on corporate and commercial strategies.
