Our Manufacturing Investments


$1.4 Billion

Durham, North Carolina

This 185-acre campus in Durham, North Carolina, is AbbVie's largest-ever capital investment. It will support the production of immunology, neuroscience and oncology medicines and create 734 new jobs.

$575 Million

North Chicago, Illinois

Three new active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) pharmaceutical facilities in North Chicago, Illinois, will support next-generation medicines and create 300 new jobs in AbbVie's hometown.

$70 Million

Worcester, Massachusetts

An expansion of AbbVie's Bioresearch Center in Worcester, Massachusetts, will grow domestic biologics manufacturing capacity and enable the transfer of select oncology products from Europe to the U.S.

$175 Million

Tempe, Arizona

AbbVie is acquiring and modernizing a device manufacturing facility in Tempe, Arizona, to expand drug delivery device capabilities for immunology and neuroscience medicines. This will create more than 200 new jobs.
