The time is AHORA

True to our vision of building a stronger Latinx/Hispanic workforce, AHORA emphasizes professional development.

Our efforts include: 

• Hosting “Café con Leche” talks with AbbVie leadership
• Offering seminars led by university partners
• Collaborating with organizations such as Hispanic Alliance for Career Enhancement (HACE) and Latino Leadership Intensive Institute (LLI)
• Attending and supporting recruitment hiring
• Supporting new employees with new-hire orientation activities

Community outreach is part of AHORA’s fabric. Supporting the Latinx communities in our own backyard is one of the many ways we help to develop and support the future Latinx/Hispanic workforce.

• We’ve embedded with Cristo Rey High School in our hometown community of Waukegan, Illinois. We’ve supported students there with internships, mentoring along with career exploration.
• We support the Waukegan to College partnership through various volunteer efforts including mentorship.
• We partner with the Consortium of Latino Employee Organizations (CLEO) to find ways to collaborate and benchmark on Latino ERG initiatives and activities along with networking and leadership development workshops.

AHORA is proud to support organizations through the AbbVie Foundation ERG community grant program.
