Through our global grants and charitable contributions, we provide resources with the goal to:

Our therapeutic areas of focus include immunology, oncology, virology, neuroscience, women’s health and other areas of scientific research with the greatest potential impact for patients.

Through the resources we provide, we aim to help ensure that health care providers, patients and care partners alike have the necessary knowledge and resources to manage their disease.

Our contributions:

  • support the educational efforts of the broader health care community
  • provide resources in the form of grants to support unbiased continuing education for HCPs with the most up-to-date information on current, new and emerging therapies
  • support efforts to ultimately meet the needs of patients, through grants and charitable donations to patient organizations
  • support fellowships to allow HCPs, who are new to their practice, to continue their training and increase their capacity in any given field of study
  • demonstrate AbbVie’s commitment to educational resources that is independent from support of our branded products

Oncology is a rapidly changing area.  It is important to provide resources to help patients and HCPs navigate the evolving landscape of blood cancers and solid tumors.

Millions of people around the world are living with Hepatitis C.  We are committed to supporting education and providing resources to address unmet needs of patients.


We aim to provide educational support in the following areas:

  • Eliminating Hepatitis C via integrated approaches to disease identification and management
  • Increasing awareness of risk factors aimed at expanding screening and linkage to care
  • Improving knowledge and capabilities of health care teams in the diagnosis and management of HCV/HIV co-infection
  • Expanding access to care in underserved locations
  • Supporting innovative activities designed at improving patient care and disease elimination

Our goal is to provide education and support aimed at patients and HCPs managing chronic neurodegenerative conditions.


We aim to provide educational support in the following areas:

  • Addressing the shortage of HCPs dedicated to the field of movement disorders
  • Understanding staging of Parkinson’s Disease and corresponding appropriate therapies
  • Educating patients and their care partners to be active and engaged participants in their care
  • New discoveries of neuroscience and new therapies in development

We are currently accepting funding requests in the following areas:
 

  • Parkinson’s Disease

We are committed to helping the millions of women around the world that suffer from hormonal mediated diseases and chronic pelvic pain.

We aim to provide educational support in the following areas:

  • Educating patients and/or their care partners in how to be an active participant in their care
  • Supporting education to HCPs on early identification and diagnosis of pelvic pain, and appropriate referrals to a specialist
  • Understanding the risks/benefits and efficacy of traditional and new therapies
     

We are currently accepting funding requests in the following areas:
 

  • Dysmenorrhea
  • Endometriosis
  • Pelvic Pain
  • Uterine Fibroids

We are committed to improving the quality of life for patients with a focus on disease areas where significant unmet need still exists. For example, Cystic Fibrosis and Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency/Pancreatitis.  We also support innovation from early stages of bench science up to late stage clinical development. We focus on keeping cutting-edge science moving forward.
